Tasks

  • Manage GCP Cloud Infrastructure:

    • Configure and manage GCP services including GKE (Kubernetes), CloudRun, CloudSQL, Cloud Proxy, Firewall, DNS, and Cloud Encryption.
    • Automate deployments and processes using Terraform, Docker, Docker Compose, and Jenkins & Groovy.
    • Implement and manage autoscaling (GCP Autoscaling) and monitoring solutions (StackDriver, Cloud Health Checks).

  • Support and Develop Risk & Compliance Systems:

    • Maintain and enhance key banking systems like Helios and GMIS, supporting Operational and Resilience Risk, and Model Risk Management.

  • Maintain Container Environments:

    • Manage GKE Containers for microservices, micro-databases, and micro-frontends.
    • Configure and maintain CloudBuild for CI/CD automation.

  • Scripting and Automation:

    • Develop and maintain Linux scripts for operational automation and cloud infrastructure support.

  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance:

    • Implement technical solutions that adhere to risk management and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Tier 1 Banking Experience
  • GKE Orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • GKE Containers for Microservices & Microdatabases
  • CloudSQL
  • Terraform
  • GCP Autoscaling
  • Jenkins & Groovy
  • Cloud Proxy & Firewall & DNS
  • Cloud Encryption & HashiCorp

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as part of a team.
  • Strong Analytical and Critical thinking skills - ability to work under pressure and resolve complex issues.
  • JIRA & Wiki Collaboration (e.g. confluence).
  • Agile Methodologies (e.g. SCRUM).

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of the Risk domain and associated Regulatory demands, preferably in the Model Risk Space.
  • GCP CloudRun
  • GKE Containers for Micro-Frontends
