Tasks
  • Facilitate Scrum Events: Organize and lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure the team adheres to Scrum practices.

  • Support the Product Owner and Development Team: Assist the Product Owner in maintaining the product backlog and ensure the team understands the goals, scope, and product domain.

  • Remove Impediments: Identify and help remove any obstacles or issues that prevent the development team from achieving their goals.

  • Promote Transparency and Communication: Encourage open communication, transparency, and collaboration within the team and with stakeholders to enhance trust and effectiveness.

  • Foster a Culture of Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating discussions on what went well and what can be improved during retrospectives.

  • Guide the Team on Scrum Practices: Provide guidance and coaching to the team on Scrum principles, practices, and values, ensuring adherence to Scrum guidelines.

  • Empower and Support the Team: Empower the team to self-organize and take ownership of their work while providing necessary support and resources.

  • Apply Servant Leadership: Act as a servant leader by putting the needs of the team first and helping them perform to the best of their ability.

Requirements

 

  • First level Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM).
  • Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least one year for a software development team.
  • Experience working in a Mobile Application Development/Web application development team.
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
  • The ability to distinguish between what "is Scrum"  what is "not Scrum"

 

Nice to have: 

  • Portfolio Management / Portfolio Governance experience
  • Good understanding of reporting standards, budget management
  • Strong quantitative data reporting
  • Strong ability to analyze data, think creatively and experience with problem solving for issue resolution
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with proven experience in working across multiple business lines and building relationships with global teams
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proactive and self-starter actively suggest process improvements
  • Managing and updating project documentation, process documents and information sources
  • Strong to excellent knowledge of Excel
