Are you an experienced Oracle expert passionate about delivering robust database solutions and ensuring operational excellence? We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator to join a leading global financial institution and take ownership of enterprise-grade Oracle environments, ensuring scalability, performance, and resilience.

About the Role

As a Senior Oracle DBA, you will play a key role in supporting and modernizing mission-critical database systems across global platforms. You’ll leverage your deep expertise in Oracle architecture, high-availability solutions, performance optimization, and advanced replication technologies (GoldenGate and Delphix) to provide database solutions that meet stringent business and security standards.

#LI-Hybrid – Kraków: 2 days office + 3 days remote/ week 

• Act as an Oracle subject matter expert, advising on database design, performance tuning, and optimization strategies.
• Deliver database solutions that enable high availability, replication, capacity planning, and disaster recovery.
• Manage and support Oracle environments (12c, 19c) and ensure platform stability and security compliance.
• Implement and maintain Oracle GoldenGate Microservices for enterprise-wide replication and data integrity.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and proactively remove performance bottlenecks.
• Execute database upgrades, migrations, patching, and refreshes in compliance with operational standards.
• Analyze and tune workloads using AWR, ADDM, and ASH reports for optimal performance.
• Support DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Ansible.
• Lead automation initiatives through scripting (Shell/Python).
• Collaborate with engineering, application, and infrastructure teams to streamline database operations.
• Maintain compliance with ITIL best practices and security frameworks.

• Experience & Expertise
  • 8–10 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration.
  • Strong proficiency in Oracle RAC, DataGuard, Grid Control, and backup/recovery strategies.
  • Advanced experience in Oracle GoldenGate replication design, setup, and troubleshooting.
  • In-depth knowledge of performance tuning at SQL and instance levels.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and automation frameworks.
  • Understanding of Unix/Linux platforms and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OMS).
• Additional Skills
  • Strong knowledge of scripting (Shell, Python) and automation best practices.
  • Familiarity with middleware technologies (WebSphere, Tomcat, Apache, IIS) and other databases (MS SQL, DB2, Sybase).
• Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; Oracle certifications preferred.
