UiPath in practise
- You have heard about robotization and UiPath technology but don’t know how to start learning to program them?
- Are you preparing to get certified as a UiPath – RPA Developer?
- Do you want to learn robotization from top practitioners with dozens of implemented automations?
If you answered YES, even just once, then UiPath training is what you need. After two days with our automation experts and practitioners, you are guaranteed to:
know the capabilities and limitations of the UiPath technology;
be able to program your own robots that operate reliably and can work in a complex automation environment;
be familiar with UiPath's advanced automation issues – such as orchestration, development standardization, documentation, test preparation, and robot operation monitoring;
know the capabilities of adding AI, ML and OCR components to the UiPath solutions.
All participants successfully completing the training will receive Mindbox IPA Academy certificates.
Who is this training for?
RPA Developers
Team leaders and process automation and robotics team managers
Practitioners of process automation solutions (BPM, VBA, Sharepoint, etc.)
IT system administrators
Business analysts
All operative employees wishing to learn the secrets of automation and robotization of business processes
What’s in it for you?
Knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of UiPath technology
Ability to program robots using UiPath technology
Ability to create advanced UiPath automations, taking into account the need to orchestrate, monitor, test and document them
Ability to add more advanced components to UiPath robots, such as AI, ML, OCR
Ability to draw on the knowledge and experience of developers with dozens of completed projects behind them
Agenda
Module 1.
Introduction to RPA
- Overview of the use of the RPA tool
- Overview of training objectives
Course participants will find out how the robots operate in the system infrastructure and the types of applications of the RPA tools, as well as the capabilities of the supporting OCR tools and machine learning solutions
Module 2.
Getting to know the tool
- UiPath infrastructure
- UiPath Studio tool interface
- Variables and manipulators
- Selectors
You will learn the breakdown of applications of the UiPath solution components Studio, Robot and Orchestrator. You will also get familiar with the menu and the main view of the developer tool. You will be introduced to the most commonly used types of variables and how to edit and use them during robot operations. We will discuss how to distinguish interface elements in desktop applications used and web pages
Module 3.
Environment integration methods
- Ways to build a robot flow
- Using a robot with Microsoft Excel
- Using a robot with Microsoft Outlook
- Operating the recorder
We will present the three main forms of the flow of activities in robots with an explanation of their main advantages depending on the application. We will start designing robots by learning how to handle basic activities that use Microsoft Office and, using the built-in activity recorder, perform the first elements of interaction with the application’s interface
Module 4.
Designing solutions
- Downloading currency exchange rates from the National Bank of Poland
- Data exchange between Excel database sheets
- Sending e-mails to contacts from the list in the Excel database
- Verification of taxpayer information based on the White List of Taxpayers and the REGON database
We will design our own robots based on sample actions performed on data from files and e-mails, gradually introducing decision-making elements and including support for more applications in the process. We will learn how to approach growing projects, making it clearer and easier to work with the existing script
Module 5.
Exception handling and job status handling methods
- Error handling design
- Creating dynamic selectors
- Creating dedicated job logs
We will extend the existing robots with elements that respond to unwanted or unexpected system and application behaviors. We will also learn how to prepare a unique element identifier so that it is accurate but at the same time able to react to changing parameters such as the year or product name, for example, so that the robot can work on data that is changing without having to be modified frequently. Dedicated logs will also be added so that the process user has full knowledge of the current status of the operation
Module 6.
Document processing
- Matching e-mails and orders
- Invoicing
We will produce robots that use the data contained in the text of structured e-mails with orders, a solution that allows completing the data in a document based on external data sources
Module 7.
Integration of external supporting solutions
- Using an OCR tool to read data from documents
- Using the Google Vision API solutions
We will focus on reading data from various source documents: e-documents and document scan to extract the data needed in the process. In addition to the OCR solution, we will also present support for machine learning modules to interpret the sentiment of the messages received and verify handwritten signatures on documents
Trainers
Jakub Bugdoll
Autonomous Enterprise Support Team Lead
Jakub has been involved in business process automation for four years. He started his adventure with robots by coding in VBA. He specializes in UiPath tools and has already designed dozens of fully independent processes. Since 2020, at Mindbox, he has been advancing his skills in areas that expand standard RPA automation to make them more complex, with the support of OCR tools and e-learning machine solutions. Simple automation supported by other technologies meets today’s business’s needs even better. In his spare time, Jakub programs small home IoT solutions.
Training reviews
The RPA training we had with Mindbox was a game-changer. In two days of intensive training, we learned how to critically approach the process, assess whether it's suitable for RPA, and were taught how to prepare a business case independently.
Many great ideas were born out of this training, and some of them are successfully running KPA use cases nowadays.
This is how the RPA journey in Danone DACH started.
