As part of Global Defense Engineering, you will design and implement advanced cybersecurity solutions that safeguard business assets, customers, and employees against a continuously evolving threat landscape. What you’ll be doing
- Design and develop end-to-end solutions for infrastructure automation supporting web and application environments, both on-premises and container-based.
- Collaborate with agile teams to deliver prioritized engineering solutions using Lean/Agile practices and tooling (JIRA).
- Implement continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) for scalable and secure software delivery.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve hosting environment technical issues across DEV, UAT, Production, and DR environments.
- Build and enforce defensive controls aligned with security policies, regulatory standards, and risk appetite.
- Partner with cybersecurity and IT stakeholders to define technical strategies and operationalize controls for data protection and compliance.
- Support threat mitigation initiatives and integrate data security requirements into customer-facing solutions.
- Promote automation-first and DevSecOps practices, driving a culture of continuous improvement.

Who we’re looking for
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and web programming; experience with front-end UI development (HTML/CSS/JS) is highly desirable.
- Solid knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and full-stack engineering.
- Working knowledge of data, network, and endpoint security domains.
- Experience with REST, SOAP, JSON, Microservices, and API design principles (Swagger, OpenAPI).
- Knowledge of authentication/authorization models, including OAuth and token-based security.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies, and Agile development practices.
- Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/UNIX environments, databases such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with front-end prototyping tools like Figma, wireframing, and agile UI principles.
- Strong understanding of risk governance, operational compliance, and familiarity with global data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Desirable Qualifications:
- Prior experience in Cybersecurity, Development, or IT Infrastructure roles (e.g., System Engineer, Application Developer, DBA).
- Background in secure software development lifecycles and defensive software design.
- Knowledge of cloud environments, container orchestration, or automation frameworks.
- ISTQB / Security / Cloud certifications considered an advantage.
