As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design and deliver high-quality, performant data pipelines and contribute to big data platform development for global financial services. You will work with cutting-edge technologies in Spark, Scala, Airflow, and cloud environments, solving complex engineering challenges while following Agile and DevOps best practices.

What you’ll be doing
- Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines using technologies like Scala/Spark, Airflow, Hive.
- Participate in code reviews, testing strategies, and deployment automation.
- Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to deliver data lake and analytics solutions across regions.
- Monitor and improve data processing workflows for performance and scalability.
- Ensure compliance with security controls, SDLC, and internal governance standards.

Who we’re looking for
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, working in Big Data ecosystems.
- Strong hands-on experience in Scala/Spark development.
- Proficiency in SQL and Big Data tools (Hive, Airflow, Cloudera).
- Experience implementing CI/CD workflows and DevOps tools.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure preferred).
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex data systems.
- Fluent in English (C1+) and excellent communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of Databricks, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Exposure to microservices and REST APIs.
- Understanding of cybersecurity practices, code quality, and automation.
