As an ETL & Data Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for driving all data transformation activities, ensuring robust delivery of ETL/ELT solutions across on-premise and cloud platforms. This pivotal role spans delivery leadership, solution analysis, IT system ownership, and technology oversight, guaranteeing both operational excellence and strategic innovation in data engineering practices.
You will manage a team of 3 to 10 ETL/ELT engineers, ensure alignment with business roadmaps, deliver high-quality technical designs, and champion emerging data technologies, including cloud-native solutions on GCP Data Platform.

What you’ll be doing
Delivery Leadership & Scrum Master Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end data transformation delivery for multiple business products/use-cases (On-Prem Prophecy and GCP platforms).
- Ensure consistent delivery roadmaps, perform resource planning, and prioritize workloads.
- Validate business and BA documentation, plan for technical dependencies, and manage developer performance.
Solution Analysis & Design
- Collaborate with Business and BAs to clarify and document requirements.
- Review and approve functional/business data specifications and deliver detailed technical specifications.
- Enforce ETL design principles (e.g., CDC, regulatory retention), implement Data Model in liaison with Data Architect and Product Owners.
- Document all data flows: ingestion, pipelines, data lineage, scheduling, and RTB processes.
IT System & RTB Ownership (On-prem Prophecy primarily)
- Manage technology risks and controls; oversee RTB incidents, demands, and issues.
Technology Leadership
- Ensure optimal ETL system architecture, promote code reuse, monitor industry trends, and integrate innovative solutions (e.g., AI in ETL operations).

Who we’re looking for
- 7+ years’ experience in Data Engineering & ETL design, implementation, and control.
- Proven track record as a Software Delivery Lead.
- Expertise in translating business requirements into functional/technical data designs and mappings.
- Strong background in Banking Data environments.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Datastage, Informatica, Talend.
- Proficient in GCP, Oracle, Python, Spark, shell scripting, and database fundamentals.
- Experience managing data integration projects (data warehouses, data migrations).
