Setting up new suppliers and customers in the ERP system
The robot freed the employees from the extremely monotonous and tedious task of manually keying in data into an ERP system (such as SAP). The monthly increase in the number of new customers was so significant that data entry began to be a challenge for the Master Data team. Employees in this department used to receive a spreadsheet from the person submitting the customer or supplier, from which the data had to be manually rekeyed into the ERP system (e.g. SAP). Now a robot does this job, while employees are assigned to less monotonous and more interesting tasks.
