Tasks

Hybrid 1 day Office / 4 days Remote ( Kraków)

  • Develop automation solutions for delivering, managing, and operating SQL Server that be consumed by the global SQL Server community.
  • Implement and operate within a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery pipeline and build automated test scripts and API based interfaces between systems.
  • Provide support for our automation including HSBC Internal Cloud, and APIs.
  • Design and implement Secure SQL automation solutions. 
  • Ability to interpret requirements and design, deliver and document solutions
  • Good understanding of SQL Server essential for understanding the services with which the engineering team infrastructure interacts and which the clients are using.
  • Need to Timely delivery of robust and secure solutions for Databases infrastructure.
Requirements
  • Strong hands-on experience in MS SQL Server DBA skills on SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016 & 2019 Installation, Configuration and Performance tuning for standalone, cluster and Always ON Environments.
  • Strong knowledge required in SQL Server architecture, security, and automation.
  • Strong skills in PowerShell scripting, T-SQL.
  • Experience working with Windows Server environments including registry and security.
  • Experience of JIRA, GITHUB, Jenkins, Ansible, Confluence, Nexus.
  • Knowledge in additional Windows estate tools such as SCCM, SCOM is a bonus.
  • Experience in Go Lang, API Development, Puppet, Groovy, Kong is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpretation skills.
  • Ability to interpret requirements and design, deliver and document solutions.
  • Timely delivery of robust, secure solutions for Data Platforms infrastructure.
  • Needs to be innovative, self-sufficient to a large extent and capable of driving the implementation of solutions while operating within a supportive and highly collaborative SQL Server Engineering Team.
  • Demonstrate leadership on Regulatory & Compliance matters. Maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring including its identification, assessment, mitigation, and control.
