Tasks
As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will report to the Director of Engineering and take ownership of technical leadership for one or more product mission teams or foundational areas of the business. You’ll play a key role in building and guiding high-performing engineering teams, ensuring technical excellence, and driving continuous improvement.
 
  • Lead and develop a group of Engineering Managers and their teams in a matrixed product-engineering organization.
  • Provide engineering support and guidance to Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and Product Owners.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to hire and grow exceptional talent.
  • Collaborate with other Senior Engineering Managers to identify opportunities for improvement across Engineering.
  • Maintain a supportive, engaging, and motivating team culture focused on high performance and predictability.
  • Manage one or more Staff Engineers and work closely with Architecture and Security teams to ensure technical design and implementation meet the highest standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing Engineering Managers and leading teams of highly skilled software engineers.
  • Strong understanding of one or more key components of our tech stack: React Native, Java, Kafka, Kubernetes, AWS.
  • Solid theoretical and practical knowledge of modern software development.
  • Experience designing and building scalable, high-performing systems.
  • Track record of building new, high-performing teams and contributing to company-wide engineering goals.
