Tasks

  • Develop and optimize backend systems using Spark and Scala for large-scale data processing.

  • Follow clean code principles, software design patterns, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).

  • Work with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Azure Databricks) and integrate databases (Postgres, SQL).

  • Collaborate in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews.

  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

  • Manage high data volumes and ensure seamless data integration and quality.

  • Use tools like Sonar and Fortify to ensure code quality and implement cybersecurity practices.

  • Work with cloud technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools (Control-M, Airflow).

Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience working with Spark and Scala
  • Knowledge of good practices in writing code: clean code software design patterns, and TDD
  • At least 2 years of experience working with Spark with Scala, software design patters, and TDD
  • Experience in working with Big Data – Spark, Hadoop, Hive. Knowledge of Azure Databricks is considered as a plus
  • Agile approach for software development
  • Experience and expertise across data integration and data management with high data volumes
  • Experience working in agile continuous integration and data management with high data volumes
  • Experience working in agile continuous integration/DevOps paradigm and tool set (Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Sonar, Nexus, Jira)
  • Experience with different database structures, including (Postgres, SQL, Hive)
  • English (at least B2+)

  • CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions
  • Orchestration: Control-M, Airflow
  • Scripting: Bash, Python
  • Software development life cycle (HP ALM...)
  • Basic of cybersecurity & Quality (Sonar, Fortify...)
