What you’ll be doing

Build and maintain cloud-native platform services supporting the IDAM 2.0 programme.
Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters and supporting components.
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automated deployments.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
Manage cloud networking, security, and connectivity.
Configure service mesh and secure service-to-service communication.
Ensure observability: logging, monitoring, metrics, and tracing.
Secure secrets management and automate certificate lifecycle.
Support high availability, disaster recovery, and compliance requirements.
Drive cost optimisation, performance tuning, and SRE best practices.

Who we’re looking for

Essential Skills & Experience

Google Cloud Platform Engineering (GCP)
Strong Kubernetes administration skills
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
CI/CD and GitOps automation expertise
Linux & Networking fundamentals
Service Mesh (Istio/Envoy), PKI & secrets management
Observability tools (logging, monitoring, tracing)
DevSecOps mindset and Scripting/Automation skills
Global deployment experience in large-scale environments
Self-driven, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach
