Tasks

We’re looking for a Platform Engineer to join our team to manage and deliver Kafka, databases and other stateful workloads to engineers. On a day to day basis you can expect to: 
- Create solutions that enhance the developer experience and introduce new features through a self-service Platform rooted in Kubernetes 
- Deliver changes to the platform in a controlled manner 
- Design and implement solutions to increase the stability, resilience and security of our stateful platform 
- Develop clean, elegant, and reusable code that is well tested and easy to maintain and extend

Requirements
  • Operational experience of Kafka at scale
  • Experience delivering cloud infrastructure with Terraform
  • Experience of Kubernetes
  • Be an advocate for containerisation and cloud native Solutions

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Java and/or Go
  • A track record of engaging positively with users of an internal platform
  • Experience creating and/or managing custom Kubernetes operators, especially those related to stateful workloads (Strimzi, Koperator, Confluent, Supertubes etc
