An international financial institution is looking for a Junior Backend Developer – Big Data to join a global team working on advanced data solutions. The position involves participation in projects focused on building scalable, efficient, and user-friendly data products that support multiple regions and business areas.

Tasks
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes using Spark/Scala (data lake processing, technical validations, business logic).
  • Document solutions in JIRA, Confluence, ALM.
  • Perform testing and certification of delivered components.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources and countries.
  • Maintain and enhance the Data Hub and data pipelines in a microservices architecture.
  • Collaborate on CI/CD pipeline development and improvements.
Requirements

Must-have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 1+ year of experience in data/software engineering (banking experience is a plus).
  • Knowledge of Apache Spark and Big Data technologies.
  • Experience with system integration (API, microservices).
  • Proficiency in SQL and Git/GitHub.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • English at B2 level or higher.

Nice-to-have:

  • Scala or Python, Bash scripting.
  • Airflow, ControlM.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, S3, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle, quality tools (Sonar), and cybersecurity basics.
