The Chronos programme aims to leverage BluePrism Robotics Process Automation (RPA), Hybrid intelligent automations developed in React/Java/.Net/Power Apps and Conversational AI Bots for the Banking business to deliver solutions for use cases benefiting the Coverage Teams, Product Bankers and supporting functions.

The programme includes a number of projects using Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Machine Learning, Data Analytics and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
The focus of the programme is around client optimization, staff efficiency, risk and control. The two key objectives are:

-      Freeing up the Relationship Managers (RMs) and Product Bankers to spend more time on client facing activities and less time on operational and admin activities

-      Improving Banking client experience


We are currently seeking a Support Engineer to join our team with a minimum of 5 years’ experience of supporting and monitoring complex full stack applications in a production Unix / Windows VM based environment.


This role is responsible for Support activity during the UK timezone and work with the development team based in India, Canada & US to build tools to automate release activities and monitor the production stack across the Gb Chronos programme.


·       Knowledge of Production Support processes and procedures (Change, Incident, Problem & Service management).

·       Responsible for Root Cause Analysis and troubleshooting issues and applying workarounds for defects in Production.

·       Over-all investigation and communication support on all critical business impacting incidents for Investment Banking space applications.

·       IT Service owner responsibilities for service continuity, Service Sustainability Program (SSP) and supporting the engineering teams with – Analysis, Devops, Production Deployments, Risk and Compliance.

·       Track production issues thru ticketing systems like Service Now and Jira to ensure follow thru to completion.

·       Knowledge of patching and vulnerability management practices.

·       Troubleshooting and hands-on experience in understanding and solving Infrastructure issues for Linux & Windows.

·       Basic understanding of DevOps operating model and tools such as Jenkins/Ansible.

·       Knowledge of shell scripting, SQL scripts, Oracle / PostgreSQL.

·       Experience and understanding of Role-swap and DR Test procedures

·       Experience creating and supporting CI/CD pipelines.

·       Release software in Linux and windows across multiple environments.

·       Ability to provide technical support for web and micro service based applications.

·       Understanding of production monitoring tool such as (e.g. AppDynamics/Grafana)

·       Strong communication skills to handle people of different levels and functions.

·       The role holder is required to work independently to analyse and resolve production problems and work with global team across time zones to resolve them.

·       Team player who demonstrates flexibility to support colleagues in Pod to share responsibilities required to deliver the solution
