Tasks
  • Managing the project approach, building stakeholder buy-in around the project plan, commitments and changes
  • Leading and managing financial lines and aspects, including providing forecasts
  • Creating and following a project plan
  • Facilitating the Steering Committee
  • Planning resources availability
  • Updating project documentation
  •  Supporting Technology teams to manage delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, resourcing, dependencies, communications and budgets
  •  Working with the Technology team and Product Owner to drive improvements in productivity through backlog management, maturity in the use of Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean), and corresponding management of dependencies
  • Providing management to maintain a focus on how the project aligns to wider programme objectives, where appropriate, and to the change portfolio across HSBC
  • Managing, monitoring and reporting progress, issues, dependencies and risks to the programme management, internal stakeholders and/or steering committees. Making recommendations to influence decision-making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation

Requirements
  • Min 3 years of work experience with an extensive background in the role of delivery/ project manager, and delivering projects with Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships, facilitating, challenging, and bringing ideas together to solve problems.
  • Ability to work in a virtual team environment across geographic boundaries and cultures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent decision-making & problem-solving skills. Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent organizational & prioritizing skills.
  • Experience with running meetings in English over video or teleconference.
