About the project: 

Our department brings together all areas of financial crime risk management at Bank and is dedicated to implementing the most effective global standards to combat financial crime.

Finance in the Cloud is a multiyear programme which will rationalise operational processes, automate data and report production, to deliver comprehensive data to our internal and external stakeholders for analysis and reporting. 
The programme, which started in 2020, involves the migration of core Finance data and processes to the cloud.

Due to the nature of the programme the cloud-based solutions being delivered need to be highly scalable, reliable, resilient, and innovative, involving the highest standards of technical engineering combined with a quick time to market.

The Enterprise Technology Platform Delivery team provide infrastructure solutions for many application teams both On-Premises and utilising External Cloud.  We look to provide innovative and automated solutions to support the needs of our stakeholders.

Tasks
  • Support a Service culture which actively champions customer needs and lean agile principles whilst balancing against internal controls within Digital.
  • Ensure best in class end-to-end service delivery through day-to-day interaction with IT and Product teams by building and maintaining great working relationships across all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure our IT Services exceed expectations by supporting and promoting a culture of DevOps metrics and measuring and reporting on the KPIs and SLOs.
  • Streamline the current ITSM processes to be fit for an Agile way of working. Challenge any cumbersome and inefficient practices.
  • Promote the Ops in DevOps to ensure all Smart Channels teams understand their role in operating a production service.
  • Focus on operational assets of technology, promote the use software instead of people to run operations.
  • Take responsibility for improvement processes to optimise service reliability.
  • Review business satisfaction levels with the Business and Markets.

 

Requirements

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a DevOps Automation Engineer who will be working in our Cloud POD for automating/maintaining the deployment of various Infrastructure components, services, and applications on the Google Cloud & Microsoft Azure Cloud platforms.

Requirements

  • Candidate should have good understanding of external cloud (GCP or AWS preferable)
  • Candidate should have a good understanding of ‘Infrastructure as Code’ concepts
  • Engineering experience of 2 or more Automation & CICD Tools- Terraform / Ansible / Jenkins / Git / Groovy etc
  • Should have good scripting knowledge
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and/or automation experience of managing Kubernetes Clusters and Containers
  • Should be able to work with different teams (spread across multiple locations) to develop a scalable, reliable, and resilient software running in the cloud.
