Tasks

Project:

Compliance IT brings together all areas of financial crime risk management and is dedicated to implementing the most effective global standards to combat financial crime.  

We are using cutting edge Big Data technology and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to build tools that enable a global network of Investigators, Intelligence Analysts and Data Scientists to conduct effective intelligence-based investigations.  The team covers 20+ live IT Systems and includes +400 IT professionals.

Global Social Network Analytics (GSNA) platform can identify potential financial crime networks based on data from billions of transactions in more than 50 countries.


The team is based across China, India, Poland and the UK.

You’ll be working as a DevOps Engineer within the FCTM development team transforming our applications to Google Cloud Platform.  Tools such as: social network analytics (SNA), negative news search, transaction network monitoring and company/individual financial crime risk scoring software.

We work to promote the agile culture in a strongly regulated industry, so it’s expected from you to challenge the way things are done whilst following the current rules accurately. 

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Deep knowledge on Google Cloud Platform - GCP Certification is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience as DevOps
  • Good working knowledge of Jira and Confluence, Git.
  • Unix administration skills,
  • Bash/shell scripting
  • Automation toolset (Jenkins, Terraform and/or Ansible),
  • Previous experience in agile and scrum methodologies
  • Fluent English (All POs and several developers are in the UK)
  •  Experience in working with diverse teams and cultures


Desired skills:

  • GKE / Kubernetes
  • Python & Scala development
  • Technical background as software developer
  • Knowledge of other agile approaches/frameworks other than Scrum
  • Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, Big Data
  • Good knowledge of databases and ETLs,
  • Knowledge on Elastic Search / Dataproc
  • Experience in working in an international environment
