Cloud computing is available in various billing models that can be adapted to the organization’s needs, but most often you pay for actual data usage. Although using the cloud can bring savings, improper resource management can lead to unexpectedly high costs. Along with savings comes speed of implementation – clouds are ready to use almost immediately, which accelerates the deployment process. You can also use the cloud from anywhere, which facilitates collaboration between geographically dispersed teams. This does not change the fact that storing and processing large datasets in the cloud can raise concerns about data security. Consequently, the amount of data generated from these devices will increase, which will not only force work on more efficient cloud solutions but also the development of tools and practices that respect user privacy. It is certain that a hybrid approach will be popular. Although more and more organizations are using big data and cloud technologies, they often combine them with processing on local servers. This allows for leveraging the advantages of both environments and ensures control over sensitive data.
